Billboard, the U.S. music magazine, unveiled its inaugural Billboard K-Pop Artist 100 list on Tuesday, coinciding with the upcoming launch of Billboard Korea magazine in May. Jungkook, a vocalist from the popular K-pop group BTS, claimed the top position in the ranking.

The members of Stray Kids, Fifty Fifty, NewJeans, Tomorrow X Together, Seventeen, Ateez, Enhypen, TWICE, BTS, BLACKPINK, Le Sserafim, aespa, NCT 127, NCT Dream, (G)I-dle, and ITZY also featured prominently on the list.
Billboard highlighted Jungkook's notable achievements in 2023, including the success of his solo debut single, "Seven," featuring Latto. The track secured a No. 1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, spent seven weeks atop the Billboard Global 200, earned the title of No. 1 Global Song of the Summer, and won Top Global K-Pop Song at the Billboard Music Awards.
Last month, Billboard announced the official launch of Billboard Korea, with the inaugural issue, Billboard K Vol. 1, scheduled for release in June. Billboard Korea plans to open its official website in April, followed by the digital platform in May, accompanied by an extensive promotional campaign.
