K-pop boy group Epex unveiled their inaugural studio album, "Youth Chapter 1: Youth Days," on Tuesday, marking the first installment of their anticipated "youth" trilogy. The album delves into the experiences and concerns of youth, addressing themes of dreams, love, and hidden emotions.
During a press conference in Seoul, Baekseung of Epex highlighted the album's central theme of "secret," emphasizing the complexity and hidden struggles that individuals may face despite outward appearances of brightness and joy. The trilogy's subsequent albums are expected to explore the true essence of youth further.
Led by the title track "Youth2Youth," the album offers a message of support and empathy toward adolescents, accentuated by a crescendo featuring a choir of 20 voices to create an emotional climax, as described by Ayden of Epex.

The choreography accompanying the lead track portrays the passion and resilience of young people confronting challenges, adding depth to the album's thematic exploration.
In addition to the title track, the album features seven B-side tracks, including contributions from the group's vocal and rapper units. The vocal unit, comprising Wish, Mu, A-min, and Yewang, contributed the track "My Secret," while the rapper unit, consisting of Keum, Baekseung, Ayden, and Jeff, presented "Dominate," exploring themes of lethargy and despair caused by unseen forces.
Epex, consisting of members all in their 20s, sees the album as a potential turning point in their career trajectory. Reflecting on their three-year journey since debut, the group hopes "Youth Chapter 1: Youth Days" marks the beginning of a new phase of growth and success.
