Yoo Jae-suk, South Korea's most popular comedian and show host, has bought a luxury apartment worth 8.7 billion won ($6.3 million) in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul. The apartment, located in the Brighton N40 complex, consists of a penthouse with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a spacious terrace for exclusive use.
Yoo completed the registration for the apartment earlier this month, and it is assumed that he paid the full amount as there is no record of a mortgage. The Brighton N40 complex, designed by world-renowned architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, consists of five buildings with a total of 148 units, including eight penthouses.
Yoo's new residence marks the end of over 15 years of renting an apartment in Apgujeong-dong. His decision to purchase in Nonhyeon-dong places him among other notable residents, including actress Han Hyo-joo and various sports stars.
