Jungkook, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, has achieved a significant milestone with his solo debut album, "Golden," securing the No. 2 position on the Billboard 200 chart. The album, released on November 3, recorded an impressive 212,000 equivalent album units, marking the highest-ever weekly sales by a solo K-pop artist on the Billboard 200.

The equivalent album units encompass physical and digital sales, along with streaming counts. "Golden" particularly excelled in physical album sales, with 164,800 units, making it the top-selling album of the week, according to Billboard.

Jungkook's solo success follows that of his BTS bandmates. Jimin, Suga (as Agust D), and V have all reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with their solo releases. Notably, Jimin made history in April as the first K-pop soloist to attain the second spot with "Face."

While Jin, another BTS member, has not released a solo album, the majority of the group has left a mark on the Billboard 200. RM reached No. 3 with "Indigo," and J-Hope secured the No. 6 position with "Jack in the Box."

Jungkook's solo journey began in July with the release of the single "Seven (feat. Latto)," which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100. The song set a Guinness World Record by reaching 1 billion streams on Spotify in the fastest time.

"Golden" continues to make waves on streaming platforms, notably on Spotify, where it achieved the highest first-day streams by a Korean soloist in the platform's history. The album's 11 tracks dominated Spotify's Daily Top Song Global chart, with "Seven" and "Standing Next to You" claiming the top two positions.
