Lewis earned a PhD from the City University of New York, focusing on the Dada artist Francis Picabia. His final exhibition, "Everyone Loves Picabia," reflected this research. The art dealer expressed his honor in joining Hauser & Wirth, highlighting his long-standing admiration for the gallery's dynamic vision.
