In conjunction with the Visit Korea Year 2023-24 campaign, the Korea Tourism Organization and esports powerhouse team T1 are collaborating to host the first-ever home and away match of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) on June 29.

LCK, the most prominent esports competition in South Korea, has not previously featured a hometown team since its establishment in 2012. The regular season typically occurs at LoL Park, the designated stadium for LCK in Jongno-gu, central Seoul. However, certain friendly matches, special events, and the LCK finals are held in the greater Seoul area.

T1, aiming to enhance the esports experience, promote Korean League of Legends culture, and attract a broader fan base, proposed the concept of the first LoL home game, named "T1 Home Ground." Both LCK and KT Rolster, T1’s opponent scheduled for June 29, agreed to hold the match at Goyang Sono Arena in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

Despite being organized by the home team T1, LCK officials and referees will oversee the game as part of the official matches in the LCK 2024 Summer tournament.

T1 has announced plans for an "exciting zone" within the stadium, allowing spectators to be in close proximity to the players. Additionally, the team intends to unveil a large crowd flag and conduct a card stunt for entertainment purposes.

Fans attending the event will have the opportunity to explore T1 merchandise shops and purchase unique items created to commemorate the historic occasion. Detailed information regarding the date and ticket prices is forthcoming.
