Rookie K-pop girl group Baby Monster is gearing up to make a significant mark in the industry with the release of their first full-length album, "Drip," on November 1. The news comes seven months after their debut in April, signaling their rapid rise and growing influence in the music scene.

The album's title track, also called "Drip," has drawn significant attention for being composed with the help of Big Bang’s G-Dragon, one of the most iconic figures in the K-pop world. The track is expected to be a dance anthem designed to appeal to a wide range of listeners, hinting at a blend of G-Dragon’s signature style with Baby Monster's fresh energy.

The album will feature a total of nine tracks, including diverse songs like "Clik Clak," which YG Entertainment’s Chief Executive Producer Yang Hyun-suk described as something unlike anything YG has ever presented before. Other tracks include the acoustic ballad "Love, Maybe," the '90s hip-hop-inspired "Really Like You," and the R&B-influenced "Billionaire," which channels the vibe of the early 2000s.

"Drip" also includes "Woke Up In Tokyo (RUKA & ASA)," a track showcasing the unique style of the group’s Japanese members, along with the pre-released song "FOREVER" and the fan-favorite encore track "Batter Up (Remix)." Yang Hyun-suk expressed his high hopes for the album in a video posted on YG’s official blog, calling it a special project that could redefine expectations for Baby Monster.

Since their debut, Baby Monster—composed of members Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita—has seen remarkable success. Their first EP, “Babymons7er,” sold over 400,000 copies in its first week, setting a record for the highest-selling debut by a K-pop girl group. The main song from the EP, “Sheesh,” has already surpassed 300 million views on YouTube, and the choreography video has gathered more than 150 million views.

YG Entertainment plans a robust promotional strategy for the album, including the release of at least three music videos, starting with one for "Clik Clak" shortly before the album launch. The promotional campaign will involve sharing snippets of each song weekly to build anticipation while keeping the full title track a mystery until the official release.

As Baby Monster continues to grow in the industry, their upcoming album is expected to further cement their status as a major force in the new wave of K-pop. With G-Dragon’s involvement and a carefully crafted promotional plan, "Drip" aims to showcase the group’s versatility and musical range, positioning them for even greater success both domestically and internationally.

Fans eagerly await what promises to be a game-changing release, as the group prepares to bring their distinct blend of genres and powerful performances to the global stage.
