Seoul City is bringing winter magic to life with Hatchi’s Winter Garden Journey, a city-wide celebration featuring themed events, collectibles, and stunning seasonal displays in five major parks. Running from December 5, 2023, to February 2024, the initiative promises residents and visitors alike a unique blend of fun and festivity.

Participants can visit Seoul Forest, Namsan Park, World Cup Park, Boramae Park, and Seoul Botanic Park to engage in interactive events and earn exclusive Hatchi-themed keychains. Each park offers a distinct collectible design, encouraging attendees to explore multiple venues. Those who collect all four keychains can visit the Lights of Greeting Cards exhibit at Namsan Park from December 20 to February 2 and share a photo on Instagram with specified hashtags for a chance to win a grand prize. Twenty winners will receive a large Hatchi plush toy and a display board to hold their keychain collection.

Seoul Forest visitors can enjoy the Forest Picture Book Room, where world-renowned picture books, classical music performances, and art activities await. Completing the event tasks earns participants a Hatchi & Cheongryong keychain. Over at Namsan Park, families can create Christmas ornaments using natural materials in a hands-on workshop, taking home a Hatchi & Hyeonmu keychain. Similarly, Boramae Park’s Family Gardening and World Cup Park’s Reed Grass Workshop offer participants the chance to craft unique items and receive the Hatchi & Baekho keychain.

The celebration continues at Seoul Botanic Park with the Winter Festival. Visitors can explore the glasshouse, discover hidden Winter Fairy installations, and post photos online to receive the Hatchi & Jujak keychain. These activities create an engaging way for participants to enjoy the parks while collecting memorabilia.

Beyond the events, the parks are adorned with holiday lights and decorations, adding to the festive atmosphere. Seoul Forest’s Garden of Delight features photo zones inspired by fairy tales, while Namsan Park’s illuminated pathways make for a perfect winter stroll. World Cup Park and Boramae Park include Christmas trees and outdoor light displays, while Seoul Botanic Park has installed dazzling lights along the lake bridge and railings.

Ih Soo Yeon, Director of Seoul’s Urban Garden Division, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, saying, “We aim to create parks that are vibrant and full of attractions, even in winter. We hope residents and visitors alike enjoy the special events and have a warm, joyful holiday season.”

The campaign not only celebrates winter but also invites people to explore the city’s public spaces in a meaningful and interactive way, reinforcing the unique charm of Seoul’s parks during the festive season.
