Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone will showcase his abstract canvas paintings at the upcoming LA Art Show in 2026, marking his first major art exhibition in years. The 31st installment of the city's longest-running independent art fair is scheduled to take place from January 7-11, 2026, at the Los Angeles Convention Center's West Hall under the direction of Kassandra Voyagis.

Stallone's artwork will be featured through Palm Beach's Provident Fine Art gallery, which will be making its LA Art Show debut with a solo exhibition dedicated entirely to the actor's abstract paintings. The gallery exclusively represents Stallone's art, and the majority of the works displayed will be available for purchase. This exhibition represents a significant moment for Stallone as an artist, as his paintings have previously been showcased in museums in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Nice, France.

The LA Art Show has confirmed participation from more than 100 exhibitors from around the world. International galleries include LICHT FELD Gallery from Switzerland, Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery from the United Kingdom, KY Contemporary Art from Paris, and Oliver Sears Gallery from Ireland. Domestic participants feature prominent names such as Coral Contemporary Gallery from Miami, Arcadia Contemporary from New York, Fabrik Projects from Los Angeles, and Rehs Galleries from New York. London will be well-represented with John Martin Gallery, Quantum Contemporary Art, and Pontone Gallery all participating.

Several galleries will be making their first-time appearances at the LA Art Show, including Gefen Gallery from San Francisco, Steidel Contemporary from Lake Worth, and Corridor Contemporary from Tel Aviv. The event will also feature the return of DIVERSEartLA, the show's non-commercial platform curated by Marisa Caichiolo. This special section will explore the evolving landscape of contemporary art through the perspective of biennials and museums, examining both their complementary roles and inherent tensions in the art world.

Reflecting on the event's significance, Voyagis expressed gratitude for the support received during last year's milestone 30th anniversary edition, which took place during a challenging time for the city. She noted that the event successfully supported the artistic community while celebrating Los Angeles' resilience. Voyagis emphasized her excitement about once again bringing together galleries, artists, and art enthusiasts from across the globe to participate in and celebrate the city's rich cultural legacy.

Tickets for the 2026 LA Art Show are now available for purchase. In a charitable partnership, the American Heart Association will serve as the event's beneficiary, receiving 15 percent of proceeds from every ticket sold. These funds will support the organization's "Life is Why" campaign, adding a philanthropic dimension to the cultural celebration.
