Sayart.net - Minae Kim′s ＂Giant＂ Exhibition Challenges the Notion of Collective Identity

Korean artist Minae Kim's latest solo exhibition, "Giant," is on display at Seoul's ONE AND J. Gallery from April 6th to May 14th, 2023. The exhibition challenges the concept of collective identity and the need for individuals to rely on external structures, such as family, religion, or political ideology, to form their sense of self.

Kim, a graduate of Seoul National University and the Royal College of Art in London, is a highly regarded artist with an extensive exhibition history. Her works are held in the collections of prestigious institutions such as the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Korea, the Seoul Museum of Art, and the MMCA Art Bank.

The "Giant" exhibition features Kim's thought-provoking sculptures, which reflect the demands and desires of society that contribute to the creation of a collective identity.
