Rookie K-girl group NewJeans' first single, "OMG", followed the success of their debut album, "NewJeans". According to ADOR on the 9th, "OMG" was sold a total of 701,241 copies in the first week after its release based on "hanteochart.com". This is more than double the sales of 310,000 copies in the first week of the debut album "NewJeans".
"OMG" has already predicted a box office success as pre-orders were counted at 800,000 copies before its official release. In particular, OMG sold 580,000 copies on the second day of release, becoming a 'half million seller'.

Meanwhile, NewJeans received the rookie award at the 37th Golden Disc Awards held on the 7th. In addition, NewJeans' single album OMG entered the daily single ranking on the latest Japan's Oricon chart on the 6th and went straight to No. 1. This is the first time since their debut that NewJeans has reached the top of Japan's Oricon "Daily Single Ranking".
