Camera manufacturer Nikon and cinema camera company RED are partnering to develop a new collection of Imaging Recipes for Nikon cameras, with an official launch date scheduled for December 10. While specific details about these highly anticipated recipes remain limited, the collaboration builds on Nikon's expanding Imaging Recipes platform through Nikon Imaging Cloud.
According to Nikon Rumors, Nikon recently updated its Nikon Imaging Cloud website with an announcement about the upcoming Nikon-RED Imaging Recipes. The company describes the partnership in enthusiastic terms, stating that "the fusion of RED and Nikon technology has created a unique and more attractive expression than ever before." Nikon promises to deliver "unprecedented recipes that will unleash your power of expression."
While the exact nature of these new Imaging Recipes has not been revealed, industry observers expect them to be similar to the RED-developed LUTs (Look-Up Tables) that the two companies released in September 2024, which received widespread praise from photographers and videographers.
