Contemporary artist Ichigo Seyeon concluded her solo exhibition “Invisible Emotional Climate” at Gwancheon-ro Cultural Platform S1472 in Seoul’s Gwanak District on Sept. 12.
The exhibition ran from Aug. 25 as a selected project of the Gwanak Cultural Foundation’s 2026 Space Dream 1472 venue support program.
Ichigo Seyeon visualised changes in human emotion through colour, rhythm, waves and form. The works also drew on chemical and biological processes associated with emotion, including dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin.

An accompanying program titled “Art Meditation with Appreciation: Seeing Emotions” combined viewing artworks with meditation. Led by meditation specialist Kang Hye Young, the program included guided sessions, an artist talk and meditation activities involving tea and traditional Korean liquor.
A public meeting with the artist was held on the exhibition’s final day. According to the organisers, an international visitor studying design presented Ichigo Seyeon with a design sketch created in response to the exhibition.
The artist is scheduled to present a follow-up exhibition at Beomil Gaok in Busan in November. She is also preparing a solo exhibition in Italy in 2027 and exhibitions of new work in New York and Los Angeles.
